Samuel Kramer
Samuel Kramer (*1996) schreibt und spricht, häufig über die Zerstörung planetarer Lebensgrundlagen und die damit verbundenen Emotionen. Samuels Texte wurden und werden weltweit performt und in Anthologien und Zeitschriften veröffentlicht, zum Beispiel in der BELLA triste und im Jahrbuch der Lyrik. 2020: Herausgabe der Anthologie „Poetry for Future – 45 Texte für Übermorgen“ und Entwicklung des Lyrik-Livestream-Formats „close“. 2021: Lyrikpreis des Open Mike und Wortmeldungen-Förderpreis für: „Nichts an einem Waldbrand ist unsichtbar“. Samuel Kramer ist Mit-Verfasser*in des „Hausacher Protokolls“, einer polyphonen poetologischen Verortung der deutschsprachigen Spokenword-Literatur. Masterstudium der Philosophie in Frankfurt am Main mit einer Abschlussarbeit zu epistemischen Vorteilen der Wut.
Das Projekt
close ist das im deutschsprachigen Raum (und vermutlich auch darüber hinaus) einzigartige Lyrik-Livestream Projekt von Samuel Kramer. Im Rahmen der Pandemie entstanden, ging es darum, die Einschränkungen produktiv zu nutzen und experimentelle Formen der Nähe zu erarbeiten. Dabei entwickelte sich eine Art des Schreibens im Sprechen über das Schreiben, die außerhalb des digitalen Raumes unmöglich ist. Eine Kamera filmte Samuel und eine die Seiten des großen blauen Notizbuchs, während jeden Mittwochabend mindestens ein neues Gedicht entstand. Die Zuschauer*innen des Streams (gestreamt über twitch, einer hauptsächlich für Videospiele bekannte Plattform) hatten die Möglichkeit, einfach nur zuzuschauen – oder über die Chatfunktion in die Interaktion zu treten, Fragen zu stellen, zu kommentieren und Einfluss auf den Text zu nehmen. Entwickelt wurde close 2020-2021 mithilfe eines von der Landeskulturstiftung vergebenen Projektstipendiums im Rahmen des Programms „Hessen kulturell neu eröffnen“. 2022 wurde eine 6-teilige Fortsetzung namens close to ausgestrahlt, gefördert durch ein Stipendium der Stadt Offenbach am Main.

Samuel Kramer (*1996) writes and speaks, often about the destruction of planetary resources and the emotions associated with it. Samuel’s texts have been and continue to be performed worldwide and published in anthologies and magazines, for example in BELLA triste and the Jahrbuch der Lyrik. 2020: Publication of the anthology „Poetry for Future – 45 texts for the day after tomorrow“ and development of the poetry livestream format „close“ 2021: Open Mike poetry prize and Wortmeldungen sponsorship award for: „Nothing about a forest fire is invisible“. Samuel Kramer is co-author of the „Hausacher Protokoll“, a polyphonic poetological localization of German-language spoken word literature. Master’s degree in philosophy in Frankfurt am Main with a thesis on the epistemic benefits of anger.
The project
close is Samuel Kramer’s unique poetry livestream project in the German-speaking world (and probably beyond). Created during the pandemic, the aim was to make productive use of the restrictions and develop experimental forms of closeness. In the process, a way of writing while talking about writing developed that is impossible outside of the digital space. One camera filmed Samuel and one filmed the pages of the big blue notebook, while at least one new poem was written every Wednesday evening. Viewers of the stream (streamed via twitch, a platform primarily known for video games) had the option of simply watching – or using the chat function to interact, ask questions, comment and influence the text. close was developed in 2020-2021 with the help of a project grant awarded by the Landeskulturstiftung as part of the „Hessen kulturell neu eröffnen“ program. In 2022, a 6-part sequel called close to was broadcast, funded by a grant from the city of Offenbach am Main.
